OTTAWA – The Prime Minister’s Office said Justin Trudeau and U. S. President Donald Trump opposed COVID-19 this morning.
The prime minister said Trudeau wanted Trump and his wife Melania to have the most luck with their positive diagnoses and recalled the president’s “expressions of concern” about Sophie Grégoire Trudeau’s virus case in March.
The two leaders also continue their efforts to manage the pandemic, according to a reading of the call.
Reading indicates that the prime minister also thanked Trump for “continued support” by the United States in efforts to free Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, two Canadians who have been detained in China since December 2018.
