Tristar Group’s industry-leading Covid-19 intervention strategy

We began to develop a plan as early as January 2020 on January 31, in our normal quarterly assembly on protection with drivers and floor staff, we presented the symptoms and risks of the virus as we knew it at the time, and under pressure the importance of hygiene as common hand washing.Dubai police and Dubai Chamber officials, as well as some of our customers and suppliers, attended the assembly. We have also created a good enough area on our staff facilities for those who may want to be quarantined, in case they expand the symptoms of the virus and want to get tested.

We have initiated several preventive measures to ensure the protection and well-being of all our employees, first, we took stock of our contingency plans and updated the situation of the pandemic, established a Covid-19 guidance committee, which oversaw prevention, detection and hospitalization measures to ensure the protection of our employees, and proactively monitored the physical condition of all , a follow-up record since early March, long before WHO (World Health Organization) declared Covid-19 a global pandemic.

Our fitness and protection branch formulated the Covid-19 matrix for operations in the United Arab Emirates and around the world, which included rules based on 3 pillars: initial assessment, hospital/clinical and patient management.

In this matrix, we have indexed clinics and hospitals located near Tristar’s offices and accommodations. Our input system, which was basically based on an employee’s fingerprint, was replaced through facial recognition. We continue to provide daily updates to all of our workers through a Covid-19, which presents the main key developments, updated guidelines of local authorities, as well as global statistics with express main points on Covid-19 instances in each of the regions in which Tristar operates.all our customers and other stakeholders to keep them informed of the steps we, as an organization, are taking to avoid Covid-19.

Here in the United Arab Emirates, we have had to divide our 1,000 or more drivers between blocks of independent housing for the threat of infection and spread. We have also booked a budget of $1 million for expenses related to Covid.

We have known Al Futtaim Health Hub and Aster as potential partners for testing and hospital care for our employees, if needed. We tested all our staff and, unsurprisingly, we had positive cases. In fact, some cases required hospitalization, but our emergency.were helpful when we were able to re-treat the staff who tested positive for Covid-19.

In Saudi Arabia, we had a case that required extensive attention, but fortunately, we have gone through this crisis without a single death.

Our operations team organized a special awareness and prevention consultation and distributed mask with commands to use paints. We have published a special newsletter on the “Covid-19 Preventive Measures Guidelines” and brought a “Health Report Form” for painters returning to paintings after vacations or business trips to justify their fitness without any symptoms.
