WANTAGH, NY (AP) — Mulcahy’s Pub is gathering the public for an annual fundraiser honoring a Long Island resident he killed while serving in Iraq.
Army Staff Sgt. James McNaughton, who was also an NYPD officer, was killed in 2005 by a sniper while guarding prisoners. This is their time for the deployment of the army.
McNaughton founded in Uniondale.
Since the beginning of the benefits of obtaining in 2006, more than 60,000 people have attended.
In addition to remembering McNaughton, charities such as the Wounded Warriors Project and Northport P. T. S. D. Veterans Association.
Fundraising has been postponed for two years due to the pandemic.
It is scheduled for Saturday, February 2 from 1:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m.
