As a component of the company’s continued corporate social duty efforts, PTG recently made a donation to combat COVID-19, Tribert Rujugiro Ayabatwa said.
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates / ACCESSWIRE / October 1, 2020 / Through one of its Production Corporations Leaf Tobacco and Commodities Nigeria Ltd. , Pan African Tobacco Group recently joined the war against COVID-19. The company’s founder, Tribert Rujugiro Ayabatwa, said the company made a contribution on April 15, 2020 to the Kaduna State Government as part of the company’s social efforts.
As a successful entrepreneur and serial entrepreneur, Tribert Rujugiro Ayabatwa is one of Africa’s leading philanthropists and has helped many communities in various spaces, adding education, food security, wooded areas and access to water.
At the time, Nigeria’s donation of leaf tobacco and commodities was Nigeria’s largest contribution to Nigeria’s fighting state against COVID-19 to date.
Contributions included food and medicine, such as PCR machines, fans, and x-ray machines. Additional food contributions were sent to the rapid LTCN network in Gbakura.
“The government of the state of Kaduna has enough words to thank you. This donation shows that you are smart partners in business,” said Balarabe Abbas Lawal, secretary of the state government.
“As you know, no state government can do everything. For our part, the governor approved millions of nairas that we use to buy relief items, and we distribute them, and yet it is as if we did not do it the length of the affected population. CSR movements like this will go a long way to help the Kaduna state government. “
Tribert Rujugiro Ayabatwa is eager to help the Nigerian government and continues to support other heads of government in the fight against COVID-10 in the countries where the Pan-African Tobacco Group operates.
“Corporate social duty is our way of life and we are committed to empowering communities in their own lives. It is our duty to help and serve our communities in every possible way,” Tribert Rujugiro Ayabatwa said.
