PARIS, July 25, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–

TotalEnergies (Paris:TTE) (LSE:TTE) (NYSE:TTE), operator OML99 (40%) in partnership with Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC, 60%), announces the start of production of the Ikike box in Nigeria.

Located 20 kilometers from the coast, at an intensity of approximately 20 meters, the Ikike platform is connected to Amenam’s existing marine services through a 14 km multiphase pipeline. It will succeed in a maximum production of 50,000 barrels of oil consistent with the day through the end of 2022.

Ikike’s allocation builds on existing services to keep prices low and is designed to minimize greenhouse fuel emissions: estimated at less than four kg CO2e/boe, they will decrease the average carbon intensity of TotalEnergies’ upstream portfolio. In addition, 95% of the hours were worked locally: the jacket and topside modules were completely built and incorporated through local companies.

“TotalEnergies is pleased to begin production of Ikike, which was introduced a few months before the covid pandemic, and whose good fortune is largely due to the full mobilization of the teams. By exploiting discoveries near existing facilities, this task is part of the company. strategy to focus on low-cost, low-emission oil allocations,” said Henri-Max Ndong-Nzue, senior vice president of Africa, Exploration and Production at TotalEnergies.
