TotalEnergies ENEOS Unveils Kinpo Group’s First Rooftop Solar Allocation in the Philippines

BATANGAS, Philippines, Nov. 17, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — TotalEnergies ENEOS has signed a long-term agreement with Kinpo Group, one of the world’s leading electronics manufacturers, for 11. 9 megawatts peak (MWp) rooftop solar photovoltaics (PV). This allocation, as the Kinpo Group’s first solar roof allocation in the Philippines, will contribute to the group’s carbon neutrality strategy of building an internal renewable energy source.

With more than 20,500 solar modules to install, the photovoltaic formula will generate 16,700 megawatt hours (MWh) of renewable electrical energy per year, covering 17% of the energy needs of its facilities and reducing its carbon emissions by approximately 8,000 tons of CO2 per anus. . that of planting 120,000 trees.

Under the terms of the agreement, TotalEnergies ENEOS will fully finance, install and commission the PV formula, while Kinpo Group will only pay for the electricity generated for 20 years, avoiding any upfront costs.

“Net 0 is a difficult goal to achieve, but we want to do it. The faster we get there, the less affected the planet will be and only then can we avoid a climate catastrophe. To achieve its goal of net-0 emissions until 2050, Kinpo Group implemented its internal carbon price in 2023 and will be adjusted frequently in the long term to drive its transition to a low-carbon economy. The cooperation with TotalEnergies ENEOS will help advance its long-term strategy and promote a more sustainable business,” said Andrew Chen, CEO of Kinpo Group.

“We are very pleased with the confidence of the Kinpo Group to supply renewable energy to its facilities and advance its carbon neutrality strategy and long-term growth plan. As a leading supplier of solar for advertising and advertising companies, TotalEnergies ENEOS is committed to help more ODM/OEM and EMS brands like Kinpo Group reduce their energy prices and carbon footprint with our customized renewable solutions.
