MANILA, Philippines – Senator Francis Tolentino on Tuesday challenged Health Secretary Francisco Duque III to get the first vaccine for the imaginable COVID-19 vaccine being developed in Wuhan, China.

(I think it would be better, Mr. Secretary, if you were the first to get the vaccine, I think that’s why the president volunteered because he wasn’t gay enough.)

“Could you ka mauna? Yung Wuhan’s vaccine, can we move to Wuhan, do you ka ba magpaturok in Wuhan?Tolentino also asked Duke.

(Are you fit to be vaccinated? Wuhan’s vaccine, they’re going to release a vaccine. Are you in a position to be vaccinated?)

But Duque gave a transparent answer to Tolentino’s question, saying: “Padadaanin po natin iyan sa proseso regulatory FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for sigurado po tayo na alinsunod sa kaligtasan, of kalidad and epektibo ng mga bakuna na ito, threat of mayroon pong lalo na kung.

(We will let this happen through our regulatory FDA, to make sure it is effective, especially because there are risks).

“Let me remind you, Mr. Secretary, that your idiocy and your appearance of escape in responding to the query reflect your lack of courage as the leader of this pandemic war,” Tolentino told Duke.

During the hearing, Duque told Tolentino that the government contemplates the following vaccines: Modern UNITED States, Sputnik V of Russia and some other from China.

“Your dinami-dami po ng mga can ngayon vaccines, papaan po napili kung but po iyong mga mauuna?”Tolentino then asked Duke about the variety procedure for vaccines and other drugs being tested in the Philippines in opposition to COVID-19.

(Among the many vaccines tested, how will it be decided first?)

“Noisigurated ko po sa inyo, Mr. Secretary, next year, on the same date, August 2021, time to do an immuntion check of the local vaccine vaccine,” he added.

(I guarantee, Mr. Secretary, that next year, on the same date, in August 2021, we will have research and communicate how the vaccines you have selected and which have been vaccinated from them.)[Ac]
