Tokyo, August 8 (IANS) The Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee said Saturday that a member had tested positive for COVID-19. The worker becomes the positive moment of control on consecutive days from the Harumi workplace in Tokyo 2020 in the Chuo district of the Japanese capital.
“The painter involved has been fleeing his home since the 4th of August; his last day of paintings at the site took place on August 3,” said a 2020 Tokyo.
“Tokyo 2020 will continue to paint with the relevant organizations to prevent you from spreading COVID-19 and will take all mandatory steps to maintain a safe paint environment for our staff.”
The committee said Friday that a female member of its staff at Harumi’s workplace had tested positive. He had been fleeing his home since July 30 and his last day of paintings on site at any Tokyo 2020 facility on July 29.
The two positive effects make a total of 3 in Tokyo 2020 Array with the organizing committee that reported in April that another male worker had tested positive. This member also worked in Harumi’s office.
The COVID-1nine pandemic forced an unprecedented postponement of the Games themselves. Originally scheduled to take place from July 24 to August 9 this year, the Tokyo Olympics will now take place from July 23 to August 8, 2021.
