NASHVILLE – The NFL and NFLPA are investigating that the Titans violated COVID-19 protocols that were still in progress on Saturday morning.
Until his conclusion, coach Mike Vrabel refrained from commenting on the investigation.
“With all the issues that will relate to the review, we’ve been absolutely transparent with the NFL, nflpa, this process, and we’ll wait for your summary before commenting more on any of those discussions,” Vrabel said Saturday, her first verbal exchange with journalists since Tuesday.
The Titans, faced with the first COVID-19 outbreak across the NFL team, have been on consecutive results checkup days, and on Saturday they returned to their team’s premises for the first time since they were forced to close on September 29, when the outbreak first appeared.
Among the violations being considered by the NFL and NFLPA: a chance training through a player organization on September 30 that took a position at a local school, this happened a day after eight Members of the Titans tested positive.
Montgomery Bell Academy Principal Brad Gioia showed Wednesday in Tennessean that the Titans have trained in combination at the school.
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill echoed Vrabel’s response, saying he would wait until the NFL and NFLPA reviewed in full before commenting on the timeline.
Tennessee did roll back any positive coronavirus checks on Saturday for the fourth time in the last 12 days, a user confirmed with knowledge of the scenario in Tennessean. The user requested anonymity because no official announcement had been made. Two consecutive days of negative check effects only. The Titans have been scheduled at 6 p. m. on Tuesday at Nissan Stadium on the track.
The Titans-Bills game originally scheduled for Sunday before the COVID-19 outbreak, the first to affect an NFL team, forcing the league to postpone the game for a moment in the week in a row.
A total of 23 Titans members, thirteen players, 10 members, tested positive since September 24.
The Titans-Bills game would be the first Game on Tuesday in the NFL since the Vikings played the Eagles on December 28, 2010 in Philadelphia. A snowstorm was delaying Sunday’s scheduled game. Before that, the NFL hadn’t had an Exchange Game. Tuesday since 1946.
