Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau said that the All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential candidate Sen Bola Tinubu, is the man who will lead Nigeria at this moment in its history.
Lalong said in Jos when Mr. Dayo Israel, APC’s National Youth Officer, won.
The Nigerian News Agency (NAN) reports that Israel is in a position to interact with other young people ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The governor, who represented through Mr. Dung Daylyop, Plateau’s Commissioner for Youth Development and Sport, said Tinubu had been beyond a moderate doubt.
According to him, Tinubu’s wealth of fun is what the country needs to navigate the curve the country has discovered for itself.
“He left footprints in the sand of time wherever he served.
“Tinubu is the only politician who left in 2007 and remains relevant in all progressive discussions in the country.
“Tinubu is just the ‘Jagaban’ of the southwest, but of all Nigeria,” he said.
Israel, in his comments, said Tinubu had raised many other people and it was time for other people to elevate him to president.
“That’s why we have to make a point to paint and deliver our polling stations, local government spaces and the state for Tinubu.
“If they tell you he’s not young, tell them he’s a friend of young people.
“If we vote for him, we will be better off because he has helped many other people succeed at heights they never imagined.
“We count on you, we have a selection in front of us and that selection is Tinubu,” he said.
According to him, Tinubu has proven to be one of the presidential candidates in 2023.
In his remarks, Chief Rufus Bature, President of APC Plateau, suggested other young people participate in thematic campaigns.
Bature also suggested young people not to be violent when they go to each and every nook and cranny of the state and country to solicit votes for APC.
APC Plateau Youth Leader, Mr Joseph Dashe, congratulated the youth for coming in large numbers to welcome their national youth leader.
Dashe said the youth of Plateau have never fared better with the Lalong-led state CPA.
According to him, many other young people have been appointed to the state’s executive council and others have been appointed to high-level government positions. (NAN)
