Three satellite tactile tracking sites have been established in the fight against Covid-19.
Sites in Belfast, Armagh and Londonderry were established through the Public Health Agency (PHA) to the main touch tracing service centre at County Hall, Ballymena.
Medical director Sir Michael McBride visited the Belfast site on Wednesday and met with many tactile trackers and service officers who have worked to protect the public from the existing pandemic.
Sir Michael said the additional sites are “another step in our ongoing fight against the Covid-19 pandemic”.

“Let me pay tribute once again to the important and valuable paintings that our colleagues at the PHA and social care and fitness continue to offer in Northern Ireland,” he said.
“These measures will help ensure our facilities continue to provide the most productive care imaginable in these incredibly difficult times. “
PHA executive director Aidan Dawson said the request for touch tracing had increased with the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases.
“Contact tracing remains a tool in the fight against Covid-19; the service is based on a flexible style that allows us to increase the number of tracking hours to meet expected demand,” he said.
“With a sharp increase in the number of cases expected during the summer months, we have worked hard to increase the staffing of the service week, adding more capacity to the operation.
“It also means expanding our area to meet the desires of our developing workforce.
“The service now operates at 4 sites in Northern Ireland, and we will keep our work and accommodation wishes under review to ensure we can flexibly meet people’s wishes because of the pandemic.
“Although we have grown in size, our role in supporting other people who test positive and their contacts remains the same. “
Mr. Dawson also paid tribute for offering the touch tracking service and the acute fitness coverage service.
“These important ones have stored and continue to save lives,” he said.
“We ask the public to paint with us, Covid-19 remains a risk and we want everyone to play with its component to help prevent the spread of the virus.
“Therefore, it is imperative that we have the key tips to help us protect ourselves and those around us.
“Please get vaccinated if you are eligible.
“Maintain social distancing, wash your hands regularly, wear a face covering if necessary, isolate yourself and have a PCR if you have coronavirus symptoms.
“If you are in close contact with a case, follow the CTS recommendation on what to do next. “
