MINSK, October 28 (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes got off to a smart start in the first level of the Russian Cup of speed skating in Kolomna, BelTA has learned.
Ignat Golovatsiuk clocked 1:09. 87 to win the men’s 1000m. Yelizaveta Golubeva of Russia the women’s 1000 m, Ekaterina Sloeva of Belarus came sixth.
The Belarusians won two gold medals in the events. Viktor Rudenko, Yahor Damaratski, Evgeniy Bolgov won the championship name in the men’s 8 rounds. Ekaterina Sloeva, Yauheniya Varabyova and Hanna Kavalyova won all 6 women’s rounds.
The speed skating event in Russia features more than 180 Belarusian and Russian athletes. The Kolomna tournament will end on October 29. The moment level is scheduled to take place in St. Petersburg on November 3 – in Chelyabinsk in January 2023, the fourth – in Kirov in early February, and the last will be located in Kolomna in late winter.
