Dubai: a total of 432 more people have tested positive for the new coronavirus in Kuwait in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 80960, Kuwaiti news firm (KUNA) reported on Monday.
According to the Ministry of Health spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad, some 618 patients with COVID-19 have fully recovered from the coronavirus, bringing the total to 72925. The ministry added that the new figure was based on clinical trials, which showed that patients were now virus-free.
He said there were 150 cases in Ahmadi, Farwaniya, 80 in Jahra, 60 in Kuwait and 59 in Hawally.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 killed three other people, bringing kuwait’s total death toll to 518.
Of all cases, 99 patients are in intensive care facilities and another 7,519 people get the right medical treatment.
The newest ones were detected after performing 3,056 swab tests in more than 24 hours, bringing the total number of samples since the virus outbreak to 590,623.
