Third House worker succumbs to COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines – A House worker who recently tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) died, House Secretary General José Luis Montales showed Thursday.

The 52-year-old had been fleeing home since June 18, but went to his home on June 29 to provide documents, Montales said.

Three House of Representatives employees have so far succumbed to COVID-19.

At the time of publication, there were 18 cases shown of COVID-19 in the declining house.

Health protocols are being implemented at the House such as holding of online or hybrid hearings to ensure that social distancing is being practiced.
