Muscat: The President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, said that the long-standing ties between the UAE and Oman are characterized by a shared social and cultural fabric on deep ties of brotherly relations between the two nations.

At one point in his stopover in the Sultanate, Sheikh Mohamed spoke of Oman’s special position in the hearts of Emirati leaders and people.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is under pressure because the UAE supports measures for more regional cooperation and progress, and is willing to work with its neighbours, including the Sultanate of Oman, to promote sustainable progress that enables others to reach their full potential.

The UAE president also said that the world is witnessing primary transformations that can pose demanding situations for nations, their peoples and interests. He said such expansions require close cooperation among countries in the region, especially the GCC and Arab countries, to expand their own capacities to deal with demanding long-term situations.
