The State College of Peru appoints new Director of Sports Information

PERU, Neb. — The Secretary of Sports of the State of Peru is proud to appoint Gwyn Williams as its new Director of Sports Information.

Williams was a former graduate assistant in sports information at Peru State College. During this time, he has been instrumental in improving game days, the immediate expansion of social media, and major adjustments to the department’s live sports broadcast. Prior to joining the state of Peru, Williams worked in gaming operations at Wesleyan University in Iowa, where she oversaw student-workers and franchises while serving as game day administrator. Williams also spent time at Iowa City West High School in Iowa City, Iowa, where he oversaw athletic activities, media communications, and gameday operations.

Williams is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Iowa, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in Sports Management. She is most recently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership in Sports and Recreation Management from Wayne State College.

“Gwyn’s initiative and creativity have been a huge boost to our athletic branch. During her short time here, she helped build a media team of scholars and interns, created and grew our social media presence, and completely improved our “stat table for our competitions. Gwyn’s positive power and ability to collaborate is contagious and we are delighted to see our SID branch continue to grow. “

Gwyn Williams resides in Auburn, Nebraska.
