The search for the missing Victoria boy in Spain extends to neighboring countries

The circle of relatives of a Victorian man who has been missing in Spain for more than a month has said it is expanding its search to neighbouring countries.

Scott Graham, 67, was last seen at the Canadian Embassy in Madrid. According to Victoria police, he reported his fault to the Spanish government on July 15.

Daughters Kaiza and Georgia Graham have been in Madrid for a week, staying near the embassy in an effort to track their father’s movements and directly with local police.

The sisters said on Wednesday they had found out “small facts” about their father’s stay in Madrid, but there is no evidence that he is still in the Spanish capital.

“We filled in the blanks, we faced the same demanding bureaucratic situations we had in Canada,” Kaiza told CTV News.

“We don’t have new data that can decipher that our father is still in Madrid,” Georgia added.

The women say the embassy has supported them, as have strangers.

“We were actually blown away by the fact that we won only because of the kindness of people’s hearts,” Kaiza said, noting that she and her sister were only able to travel to Madrid thanks to the thousands of dollars that were raised through an online crowdfunding campaign.

The missing boy is a kidney transplant recipient and has needed anti-rejection medication since his operation in 2014.

The sisters say their father was looking to update his medication after wasting his purse in Madrid in the days leading up to his disappearance, but it’s unclear if he succeeded.

“We know he’s looking to get his medication,” Kaiza said. But we still can’t verify whether or not he physically got his medication. “

The women translated their missing persons posters online into six languages, adding French, Italian, German and Danish, in a bid to expand the search to neighboring European countries.

“There are some countries that you can go overland to without a passport,” Georgia said.

“If he didn’t have his medication, we don’t know what physical fitness he was in or is,” Kaiza added. “It may just be his cognitive ability and his ability to navigate a lot in this very complicated scenario. “

Victoria police said they were running with Spanish officials in the search effort.

The women seek recommendations on Scott’s whereabouts on a Facebook page and an email account findscottgraham@gmail. com.

“We’ve gone through all the official channels and right now it’s basically in our hands,” Kaiza said.

Scott is described as a five-foot-and-inch tall white man with a medium build. He has grayish-white hair and blue eyes.
