On Tuesday, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) said four COVID-19 sites will close until the end of the week, ending the remaining large-scale loose sites provided by the state.
The last day of operation at the St. Paul Midway is Friday, January 27. The next day, the Duluth has its last day, and Sunday is the last day Brooklyn Park and the airport will be open.
These sites have been open for a maximum of 3 years in maximum cases.
“We are incredibly grateful to all the partners, workers and contractors who have worked to make those state-run sites the cornerstone of Minnesota’s national response to COVID-19,” said Minnesota Health Commissioner Dr. Anna S. S. Simpson. Brooke Cunningham, in a press release.
Minnesotans can get free immediate testing at the state’s home, which sends out the latest free testing circular.
Residents who wish to get tested for COVID-19 after site closures can locate other testing features at pharmacies, clinics and other fitness services in the state’s online “Find Test Location” tool.
Despite the closure of control sites to treat, the state will continue to provide a telehealth screening option to treat others if they test positive for COVID-19 at any screening through Cue Health. The service, which adds possible consultations and medications, is available to Minnesotans.
Three small COVID-19 loose sites run by the state’s COVID network coordinators will remain open.
