ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi suggested that the country strictly adhere to coronavirus-like operational procedures (PCOs) in view of the resurgence of Covid-19 instances in the country.
In a video message, the president said, “However, we have contained the pandemic to a large extent; compliance with precautionary measures is inevitable to defeat the pandemic. “
Dr. Alvi wants to wear a mask in mosques and bazaars to continue to wash his hands well and practice social distance so that Pakistan can fully engage Covid-19.
He praised the role of devotees and the media in raising awareness of the coronavirus, said Prime Minister Imran Khan prevented others from being unemployed and helped deserve others through the Ehsaas program, adding that the government’s wise blocking policy had had positive effects on overcoming the pandemic.
The president said the government has well addressed the pandemic by maintaining a balance in the era of blockade and other measures to put a barrier to the unemployment rate. Dr. Alvi pleaded with citizens to take precautionary measures for a few more months because of the dangers of the virus spreading its new wave.
It should be noted here that another 16 people have died of coronavirus in the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 6654, according to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC).
