The government of the city of Paraaque officially presented the virtual disbursement on Wednesday on the site of its local monetary assistance program “Bank-on-Wheels” (BOW) to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
In partnership with Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank), the city’s 50,000 beneficiary families can now withdraw their Covid-19 monetary aid from 5,000 P BOW, an air-conditioned 5G bank kiosk in a cell pickup truck.
“Today is another vital step in witnessing the pilot execution of the virtual outlay on the To-A-Cash Assistance program site, which is 5,000 P for the family in Paranaque,” Mayor Edwin Olivarez said.
Interior Under-Secretary Jonathan Malaya, the director general of the Anti-Paper Authority (ARTA) Jeremiah Belgica, Senior Vice President of Union Bank Paolo Baltao, Melanie Malaya, head of the city’s commercial licensing and licensing office, and city officials attended the launch.
Olivarez expressed optimism that through this program, local citizens “will fully enjoy the benefits of fashionable technologies at this time of network quarantine and pandemic.”
The municipal government this year suspended the structure of the two-hundred million peso astrodome transfer to secure the financing of monetary aid to thousands of families.
At the time of publication, there were 2,707 covid-19 shows in the city, of which 1,789 were recovered and 88 died.
