CLARK FREEPORT – The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announced Monday afternoon that it has a COVID-19 0 infection rate in its multi-site festival bubble.
“I called Sec. (Vince) Dizon this morning and talked to him (about development),” Commissioner Willie Marcial told the Inquirer.
Dizon is one of the national “test tsars” and the president of the Base Development and Conversion Corporation.
Bubble delegates are subject to RT-PCR testing every two weeks, depending on the date of arrival. Detection is done through Clark Development Corporation.
The head of the league, however, noted that the recount does not come with overdue arrivals, such as Japeth Aguilar of Geneva, LA Tenorio and Maverick Ahanmisi of Alaska, among others.
The remaining league and the five hounds covering the reboot are also waiting for their screening moment. They entered the bubble on October 7, a week after the arrival of the groups.
However, this is any celebration, according to Martial.
“We had a smart start,” he said.
