According to the numbers: 17. 9% of other people worked basically from home in 2021, compared to 5. 7% in 2019, according to the survey results.
Between the lines: The Census Bureau said last year it would use its one-year estimates starting in 2020 “due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on knowledge gathering. “
What they say: “Work and they are at the center of American life, so the widespread adoption of running out of the house is a defining feature of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Michael Burrows, a Journey-to-Work statistician for the Census Bureau and Migration Statistics Branch, said in a statement.
