MOSCOW. KAZINFORM – The number of COVID-19 cases in Russia rose from 5,781 in the last day to 6,803 cases recorded the previous day, the coronavirus crisis center reported on Monday, TASS reports.

Therefore, the number of new cases detected is the lowest since July 20, when 5,685 new infections were recorded. In total, 21,429,506 coronavirus infections have been recorded in Russia since the beginning of the pandemic.

Up to 491 more people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia on the last day, down 19. 6% from the previous day. The number of hospitalized patients decreased in 39 regions, while in 23 other regions the number increased. The day before, another 611 people were rushed to hospitals.

COVID-19 cases in Moscow rose to 579 on the last day, up from 730 the day before, reaching 3,230,867, at the coronavirus crisis center. COVID-19 cases in St. Petersburg rose to 398 on the last day from 469 the previous day, reaching 1,785,840.
