HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Florida (CW44 News at 10) – Hillsborough County and the University of South Florida (USF) have opened a loose public test of COVID-19 coronaviruses on the USF’s main campus in North Tampa as of Thursday, August 13, 2020.
The verification site is located in the parking lot adjacent to the USF Health Therapy (MDT) building, 3515 E. Fletcher Ave. The site will operate Monday through Friday from nine a.m. to noon. There is no check payment and no fitness insurance is required.
As a reminder, anyone who needs to get tested should register in advance for an appointment through HCFLGov.net/COVIDTesting. To make an appointment by phone, call (888) five13-6321 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The USF verification site is open to all Citizens of Hillsborough County and provides an ideal location for students, universities and to be verified for free. In addition to driving controls, this special outpost will also welcome other people arriving on foot or by bike.
The USF verification site is the ninth public site the county has opened since the beginning of the pandemic. It will be controlled through ClinicalArray volunteers from USF’s Health and Student Health Services, as well as teachers and USF from other regions.
Public of the COVID-19 coronavirus is the result of a collaboration between Hillsborough County, the City of Tampa, the Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County, the University of South Florida and medical teams in the area, adding BayCare, Tampa General Hospital, AdventHealth, HCA Healthcare – West Florida Division, Tampa Family Health Centers, Inc., the Crisis of Tampa Bay Center/ Transcare and Suncoast Community Health Centers, Inc. Locations for some verification sites have been proposed through Redeemer Lutheran Church at Sun City Center and Latina entrepreneurs in Wimauma.
