“The new Dominican government with the press will be respectful”

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic Array- “The new government of President Luis Abinader with the press will be respectful”.

This was said by journalist and political scientist Luis José Chávez, who felt that a government is not afraid of hounds and the media through the discretionary use of publicity or direct or oblique pressure.

He said the hounds are on the loose to bring out their paintings as controllers of the public administration, to ask, criticize and denounce what they think is wrong, without worrying about retaliation.

He argued that under the past government, the means were under pressure to subject them to the will of the government or to overturn their critical rigour.

In some other order, he noted that the government of President Luis Abinader had replaced his work of preventing the Covid-19 pandemic, involving society, through networked organizations and neighboring associations. He gave as an example the districts of the northern component of the national district. The government is preparing an educational crusade in collaboration with Community Action for Progress (ACOPRO).

Tourism

Luis José Chávez, a gourmet in the tourism industry, said the government is taking steps to temporarily reopen tourist activities, whether in hotels and gastronomy.

He highlighted the efforts of Minister David Collado, who has already remained with leading foreign tour operators and local hiking entrepreneurs.

He recalled that tourism was transverse to maximum economic activities, from maritime transport to food production, production and sale of handicrafts.

Luis José Chavez interviewed on the television show Acento From Ahora.

The Program From Now, by Acento TV, is broadcast on the following channels 38 through Claro, 39 and four39 through Altice, four1 through Star Cable of Santiago de los Caballeros.
