The new COVID-19 in the United States is being reduced to 51K; California exceeds 600,000

August 14 (UPI) – New COVID-19 instances in the United States decreased on Thursday to a few thousand, according to the updated knowledge of researchers at Johns Hopkins University.

Friday’s new knowledge showed that there have been 5,254 million cases of COVID-19 and 167,200 deaths in the United States to date.

Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, warned Thursday that the fall could be the “worst of all time” for public fitness unless more Americans begin to stick to recommendations such as covering their faces, self- isolating themselves, and distancing themselves.

Talking to the fitness WebMD in a video chat, Redfield said the combination of the pandemic and flu season can create a really extensive crisis.

Redfield also said he is “very cautiously optimistic” about a coronavirus vaccine before the end of the year.

“No one can expect clinical success, but we believe that, from a clinical threshold, the progression of a COVID vaccine is as complex as Array … HIV vaccine,” he said. “I’m pretty sure we’ll have one or more vaccines available.”

In the San Francisco Bay Area, Stanford University announced Thursday that it canceled almost all categories in person for the fall. President Marc Tessier-Lavigne said the school had suspended plans to provide on-campus housing for first, second and transfer students.

“Even though we’ve been interested in bringing undergraduate students back to campus and continuing for a year as general as possible, we’ve concluded for reasons that I’ll do under that public fitness scenario because of COVID-19 just doesn’t make it feasible right now. Tessier-Lavigne wrote in an update for students and parents.

The San Francisco Bay Area has been on a statewide “watch list” due to the deterioration of public aptitude indicators.

The San Francisco National Park Service has announced that it will reopen the spaces of Alcatraz Island to visitors from Monday. The island, site of the celebrated former federal criminal, will be served again by ferries, but with reduced capacity.

“The fitness and protection of our visitors and workers is our most sensitive priority,” said Laura Joss, General Superintendent of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

In Florida, the deaths fell Thursday after the state set a record the day before. More than 9,000 more people have been killed in the state since the onset of the pandemic.

The state, which experienced dramatic spikes in cases in June and July, recorded fewer than 10,000 new cases for the 19th consecutive day.
