The San Francisco 49ers’ open receiver, Richie James Jr., was placed on the team’s reserve/COVID-19 list.
The list considers a player who tests positive for COVID-19 or has been quarantined after close contact with an inflamed person. NFL groups can reveal whether the player is quarantined or positive for COVID-19.
James broke his right wrist before this off-season while fleeing the team.
James first joined the Niners as a seventh-round pick in 2018 and was the team’s main supporter in clearing and kicking shots. In the more than two years, James has averaged 23.4 yards consistent with the clearing recoil with a landing in 2018 opposite Seattle and 7.5 yards consistent with the clearing recoil.
He also had time as a catcher, catching 15 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns.

The state of Michigan says 16 of the 122 athletes tested positive for the new coronavirus the week of July 20-24 and
four members of the sports branch tested positive between July 18 and 24.

Tankersley, a third-round pick in the 2017 draft that started 11 NFL games, all as a rookie, and was lost last season due to a knee injury.

North Carolina will have fewer enthusiasts at home stadium this fall if matches are played.

The Valley of the Great Lakes Conference is the sixth league of NCAA Division II in its football season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
GLVC announced its normal season and the championship would move into the spring. The Great Northwest Sports Conference, Northeast-10, Southern Intercolegiate, Central Intercollegiate and Pennsylvania State Sports is also football in the spring.
Six of the other 10 Division II meetings are delaying the start of their season. Rocky Mountain Athletic, the Great Midwest, the wonderful Intercollegiate Lakes and Northern Sun are still making plans to play full seasons in the fall.
In Division III, the Midwest Conference is the 23rd league to postpone or cancel its season. The only Division III meetings that plan to play all or part of their seasons this fall are American Rivers, Michigan Intercollegiate, Minnesota Intercollegiate, Upper Midwest and USA South.
More than 1,700 NCAA games in 3 divisions are known to have been canceled or postponed, according to an Associated Press study. Distribution: 114 in the FBS, 317 in the FCS, 445 in Division II and 889 in Division III.
Dozens of matches have been eliminated from the 95 football groups of the National Interuniversity Athletics Association. All elementary school games have been canceled.

Saints Quarterback Drew Brees and his wife, Brittany, say they are donating $5 million for a partnership with a Louisiana fitness service provider to build “numerous” fitness centers in the state’s economic communities.
Brees said in his social media ad that the first center would be built later this year in New Orleans in partnership with Ochsner Health.
