The 20 municipalities in the country with the highest number of people affected by COVID-19 are only outside the metropolitan region. This is shown by the knowledge recorded in the latest epidemiological data published through the Ministry of Health this Saturday, August 8 and with data as of August 6.
The figures from the Ministry of Health reached Puente Alto, La Florida and Maipú as the 3 territories with the most deaths from the virus with 558, 460 and 376 deaths respectively. The next is San Bernardo, with 323; Peñalolén, with 311; and La Pintana, with 307.
The only municipality that is outside the metropolitan region among the top 20 affected is Calama, in the Antofagasta Region. You can check out the full list below:

In other areas of the situation, there are 15 municipalities in our territory that have declared, according to Ministry data, no cases of COVID-19, which you can review in the following note.
