At best, whenever we buy something, whether it’s owned by women or not, we’d do so knowingly. We would have a complete understanding of companies and their values, where everything is manufactured and through whom, and everything that allows us to spend our money comfortably. In addition, corporations would be transparent about the cost of production and the main points of the origin chain would be better clear. Today’s globality is, of course, the best, and so are all of us. The concept of consciously buying groceries one hundred percent of the time is almost ridiculous in its conceptualism: we’re busy, we want anything right away, we’re on a budget, we actually like that cute, sensible one we’ve just been gifted via an Instagram ad or TikTok shop.

At Glamour, we communicate a lot about the emotional incongruity that comes with genuinely enjoying shopping, but doing so unintentionally, for which I’m deeply guilty. (I recently bought a pair of black shorts from a fast fashion giant, put them in my closet, and bought them again a few weeks later, forgetting I already had them. I know. )

At our core, we are a logo that celebrates style, beauty, wellness, and culture, and explores how those spaces intersect to constitute women’s transformative desires and longings. We perceive that the fun component of talking about those topics is relying on sites like It’s Ours to help you find things to buy—things we all know we probably don’t need, but that can make our routines easier or just bring us joy. That’s not going to change, but we recognize the importance of regularly highlighting companies and products that are original and are willing to defend anything other than the lack of our money.

Few commercial homeowners are more successful than women.

We know this because, for the second year in a row, we’ve compiled a list of style, beauty, wellness, and home brands and corporations that are 51% or more owned by women or a women’s organization. For our By Women series in which we highlight the wide diversity of brands owned and often operated through women.

Below is Glamour 100, a publisher-curated grocery shopping destination showcasing a hundred products owned by women we love. Some brands are already major players in your box (hello Beautyblender), others have gone viral and can only grow (the Fishwife canned seafood craze, for example), and some are only a few years old and stand out in creative and exquisite pieces that you’ll have (Silver’s evergreen leather bags

What if you rolled your eyes and said, “Are you supporting women by asking us to go shopping?”Actually, yes. Starting a small business is an incredibly complicated proposition. While the U. S. has more women-owned businesses than ever before (great news, because they generate higher profits, a more diverse workforce, and a commitment to “work-life balance and fair paid leave policies”), they face greater challenges. Challenges. Array’s female marketers receive smaller loans at higher interest rates and regularly bear the brunt in terms of financing. (Last year, U. S. startups with all-female groups earned 1. 9 percent, or about $4. 5 billion, of the roughly $238. 3 billion in venture capital allocated, according to Pitchbook via Techcrunch. )

What’s more, many women’s logos and founders create products specially designed for women, products that men may never design or let succeed. That’s why we support them and, hopefully, help them. succeed. We know it’s difficult and unrealistic to ask readers to buy with a transparent conscience, however, small steps are smart steps, and even if you notice a new logo owned by a woman you’re passionate about, thanks to Glamour, we’ve done our job.
