The reaction to the EU COVID-19 crisis in Central Asia (CACCR) will contribute to the long-term resilience of national fitness systems in Central Asian countries, the EU delegation to Kazakhstan told Trend.
The representative of the delegation noted that the COVID-19 pandemic required a coordinated and large-scale global reaction for all people, saving lives and combating economic benefits.
“The time has come for foreign solidarity and leadership, not isolation. As one of the world leaders, on 8 April 2020, the EU presented the so-called Team Europe package for spouse countries and combat COVID-19 globally, with more than 20 billion euros,” he said.
The representative of the delegation explained that the objective of the Team Europe technique was to mix the resources of the EU, its Member States and the monetary institutions.
“Under this programme, the EU alone is reorienting more than EUR 15. 6 billion to meet immediate needs, health, water and sanitation systems, and address the economic and social consequences in spouse countries. And Kazakhstan is no exception,” the official said.
He noted that last month the EU introduced a comprehensive solidarity programme for the reaction to the 3 million euro COVID-19 crisis in Central Asia (CACCR), meeting the wishes of Central Asian countries with an important focus on Kazakhstan.
“It is a component of the EUR 124 million solidarity package, mobilized across the European Union for the Central Asia region as a component of Team Europe’s global reaction to COVID-19. Implemented through the World Health Organization, the CACCR, which has been going on for two years The program will supply to mitigate the existing epidemic of the COVID-19 pandemic,” the representative said.
He added that this would also contribute to the long-term resilience of Central Asia’s national fitness systems by expanding their ability to respond to similar public threats of physical fitness, if they occur in the future.
For example, the CACCR will supply 400,000 sets of non-public protective appliances and 1,000 diagnostic control kits for COVID-19, contributing to a total of 2 million polymerization chain reaction controls (PCRs) in Kazakhstan. It will be evaluated against Minimal Prevention and Infectious Needs (IPCR). 5,000 fitness personnel will be trained in Infectious Prevention and Needs (IPCR) and 400 laboratory personnel in the use of PCR controls and biosecurity,” the official said.
It added that the ACCC would also update 80 per cent of hospital plans for IPCR testing and provide existing recommendations on the review and updating of national emergency preparedness and reaction plans, as well as national physical security action plans.
“The CACCR programme has already been completed. On 6 August 2020, thanks to the CACCR programme, the first humanitarian shipment with two hundred oxygen concentrators arrived in Kazakhstan.
