Data from the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control and Disease (NCDC) indicate that the number of deaths from COVID-19 increased to 813, with 38,344 infections.
The NCDC arrived Wednesday on its official Twitter account.
The agency’s knowledge showed that 8 Nigerians died of COVID-19 headaches until July 22.
The fitness firm reported that Nigeria had reported 543 new COVID-19s on Wednesday.
The 543 new figures from 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory arrived.
The NCDC said Lagos, the epicenter, had recorded 180 cases, the highest number, followed by FCT with 86.
He noted that Kaduna recorded 56, Edo, 47, Ondo, 7, Kwara, 5, Ogun, 19, Rivers, 19, Kano, 17, Ebonyi, 16, Enugu, 16, Delta, 7, Bayelsa, 4, Bauchi, and Abia, 1.
The NCDC said that 15,815 patients have been discharged.
He explained that a multisectoral National Emergency Operations Center (NSC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national reaction in the country.
The NCDC stated that a sudden loss of taste and smell accompanied by fever, headache or nasal discharge could be COVID-19, not malaria.
“Don’t forget those symptoms. Call your state hotline to organize a COVID-19 test.
“Washing hands remains one of the ultimate fundamental and effective tactics to prevent the spread of infections and add meningitis.
“It’s very important to wash your hands with soap with running water,” he says.
The NDDC said Nigeria’s recovery rate for COVID-19 fell wednesday from last week’s figures.
Between 22 June and 22 July, the number of cases showed more than 50%, from 20,919 to 38,344 infections in total, while the number of deaths increased from 525 to 813 deaths.
“However, over the same one-month period, the cure more than doubled from 7,109 to 15,815 patients who returned nationwide,” the NCDC said.
