The death toll from coronavirus in Turkey exceeds 7,000: Ministry of

ISTANBUL – The death toll in Turkey due to the new coronavirus reached 7056 on Sunday, an increase of another 57 people in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Fitness.

The total number of cases in the country increased to 1527 on Sunday, for a total of 291,162 cases, according to the data, with another 258,833 people recovered from COVID-19.

Deaths and instances have reached their point in mid-May in recent days. The government has ruled widespread closures, but recently announced new measures, adding a ban on marriages and other occasions and restricting the number of passengers allowed on public transport.
