The COVID-19 verification site at Ithaca Mall is organized on Sunday, October 25

ITHACA, N. Y. —Cayuga Health’s COVID-19 sampling site at Ithaca Mall outlets will be open on Sunday, October 25, 8 a. m. 12 p. m.

The Tompkins County Department of Health said overtime will help meet the call for tests after several public exposure announcements for more than two weeks.

“As more and more network members seek COVID-19 screening, Cayuga Health adds hours to help meet demand,” said Frank Kruppa, Tompkins County Director of Public Health. “Testing remains an essential tool to prevent the spread of the disease. , and in addition to dressing in a mask and staying away from others, continue to monitor yourself for symptoms. Look for a check if you have symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive. ( . . . ) The recent creation of the network spread throughout the South Level region and here in Tompkins County reminds us that we all want to be vigilant and take our role in preventing spreading seriously. “

Transportation must be available at the sampling site, by calling 2-1-1 after registering for a verification appointment. Phone service must be 8:30 a. m. 5 p. m. to plan a race. The sampling site is located behind ithaca Mall stores in your parking lot, and others can request an appointment online at cayugahealth. org or call cayuga Health Call Center (607) 319-five708. Please note that the center is open monday through Friday from 8:30 a. m. 4 p. m.
