BEIJING / SHANGHAI (REUTERS) – A pattern of frozen bird wings imported from Brazil in the city of Shenzhen, southern China, tested positive for coronavirus, the city government said Thursday in a notice.
Local disease centers have tested a surface pattern taken from the wings of birds as a component of the regime tests of meat and seafood imports since June, when a new outbreak in Beijing was connected to the Xinfadi seafood market.
Shenzhen’s physical fitness government tracked and tested who might have been in contact with potentially infected food products, and also tested food products stored near the inflamed batch. All effects were negative, according to the opinion.
Brazil’s embassy in Beijing did not respond to a request for comment.
The Shenzhen Bureau of Outbreak Control and Prevention said the public remains wary of imported meat and seafood and takes precautions to reduce the threat of infection.
China reported on Wednesday that coronavirus had been discovered in the packaging of shrimp imported from Ecuador, and several other cities have reported cases of infected shellfish.
In addition to controlling all meat and seafood boxes entering primary ports in recent months, China has suspended some imports of meat of origin, adding Brazil, since mid-June.
The first Covid-19 instance organization is also similar to the Huanan seafood market in Wuhan City. Initial studies have warned that the virus originated from animal products sold on the market.
