Flu season begins in October and peaks between December and February. Getting a flu shot this fall is the most effective strategy to protect yourself from the flu.

As of May 11, Duke is no longer asking for COVID-19 vaccines. However, the University “strongly recommends getting up-to-date vaccinations” against the disease.

Since the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency in September, Duke no longer provides COVID-19 vaccines or boosters, and students will need to get them through pharmacies or their health care provider.
