The CDC Just Killed Another Right-Wing Conspiracy Theory About the Covid Vaccine

The authors focused on people who received an mRNA Covid vaccine from Pfizer or Moderna and died within a hundred days of vaccination. Of the 40 deaths that occurred among other people who received an mRNA Covid vaccine, three occurred in that period. of deaths were due to underlying chronic health conditions. The third death was recorded as “undetermined herbal causes,” and toxicology tests came back negative for alcohol, cannabis, methamphetamine, or other illicit substances. The medical examiner cannot verify or rule out Covid vaccination as the cause of death; however, none of the death certificates include vaccine deaths.

Dr. Leslie Cooper, chair of the department of cardiology at the Mayo Clinic, told NBC News that the researchers behind the study went “above and beyond their expectations to try to capture every conceivable cardiac death from vaccines,” but found none.

To be very clear, this is exactly why reputable fitness experts have been racing to dispel conspiracy theories linking the Covid vaccine to cardiac arrest. Because the evidence of cardiac arrest after a vaccine is non-existent. And the threat of core disorders resulting from receiving a vaccine is incredibly rare, while core disorders after contracting Covid are not.

This turns out to be a pretty apparent incentive to get vaccinated, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. But the fact that the right has embraced the conspiracy theory of cardiac arrest is a manifestation of the conservative war on public health, which you can read more about here.
