ROMA (Reuters) – The first injections of the possible COVID-19 vaccine from British drug manufacturer AstraZeneca could be on the market until the end of 2020, Italian Health Minister Roberto Speranza said Wednesday.

Drug brands are rushing to combat the pandemic, which has killed more than 850,000 people and inflamed more than 25 million people.
The European Commission has paid AstraZeneca EUR 336 million ($397.82 million) to protect at least three hundred million doses of its possible vaccine for EU countries.
