EREVAN, JUNE 27, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, who is running for Greece, met on 27th June with the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
As reported to ARMENPRESS through the press service of the MFA Armenia, the interlocutors are under pressure that relations between Armenia and Greece are based on friendship, mutual values and not unusual.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Kyriakos Mitsotakis praised the cooperation programme and the high point of the political dialogue and expressed their readiness to make joint efforts to further expand cooperation and promote it to a qualitatively new point.
They also discussed the existing industrial and economic point between Armenia and Greece, the clients for further expansion of economic ties, adding through the use of opportunities in a broad legal field, the paintings of the Armenian-Greek Intergovernmental Commission and the activation of business-to-business contacts.
They also discussed cooperation within the framework of the Armenia-Greece-Cyprus trilateral format.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Armenia briefed the interlocutor on the progress in the South Caucasus. The parties exchanged perspectives on the problems of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the normalization procedure between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the unblocking of the regional economic infrastructure of communication and maritime transport, the cadres of the border delimitation and security commissions.
Ararat Mirzoyan referred to the humanitarian consequences of the Azerbaijani army’s aggression against Artsakh, accompanied by flagrant violations of foreign humanitarian law. and the devout heritage in the territories that have fallen under Azerbaijan was emphasized.
The Armenian Foreign Minister greatly appreciated the Greek government’s help in the 44-day war, a difficult time for Armenia, as well as its help in overcoming the resulting humanitarian problems.
Minister Ararat Mirzoyan briefed the Greek Prime Minister on the progress of the normalization procedure between Armenia and Turkey.
