According to the most recent census data available, these are the 10 most spoken languages in India:
Hindi tops the list of the most spoken languages in India, with more than 528 million local speakers. It is the official language of the central government and the main language in several northern and central states, in addition to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.
