FRANKFURT (Reuters) – Tesla is contemplating laying off 300 temporary employees at its German factory near Berlin as part of a global relief plan, Business Insider reported on Wednesday, citing other people familiar with the matter.

The cuts are expected to begin on Monday, according to the report.

Tesla, which employs a total of about 12,500 people at its Gruenheide factory, was quick to receive feedback.

Tesla is laying off more than 10% of its workforce, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters on Monday.
