‘Talking about a momentary wave now in Europe is an exaggeration’: a British doctor silences fears of a momentary wave of coronavirus

A frontline doctor in the UK said fears about a wave of coronavirus in Europe are unfounded as the virus “gets less angry.”

“The communication about a lately occurring wave in Europe is publicized,” said Dr Ron Daniels, an extensive care representative at Good Hope Hospital in Birmingham. “We see, as we see here, and we take a look at the Center for Evidence-Based Medicine at Oxford and the paintings of [Professor] Carl Heneghan, that the overall perception of an increase in the number of cases is due to an increase in evidence.

“I don’t need to look like Donald Trump; However, if you look at more people, it locates more cases,” he added.

Daniels said the governments of Spain and France were also reporting an increase in cases, which he attributed to an increase in evidence.

“What we saw in France and Spain, and they saw an increase in the number of cases two weeks before the UK because they were testing before, is that there is no increase in hospital admissions.”

“There hasn’t been an increase in deaths, it’s not a momentary wave, it’s just that we’re testing more people and locating more cases,” he said.

He added that the virus appears to be “less angry” in recent weeks, which is “natural” in the progression of a virus.

“There is a degree of suggestion and evidence that the virus may simply get a little less angry,” he said. “This would be the herbal habit of viruses. The coronaviruses that now cause colds were smart enough to cause death thousands of years ago.”

He added: “This does not confer any evolutionary merit on a virus to kill its host and confers all the evolutionary merits of sitting on the host, without leaving them in very poor health, but turning them into paintings by infecting many other people.”

The UK reported more than 41,500 coronavirus deaths and 326595 cases on Sunday.

Fear of a momentary wave of coronavirus has spread across the United States in recent weeks. President Trump has said the build-up in some cases is due to a build-up in the evidence.

“Remember this: when you have more tests, you have more instances. I tell my people: every time we test, you locate instances because we do more tests. So if we have more instances, if we seek to test in China or India or elsewhere, I promise you there will be more cases,” Trump said this summer.
