T-72 tank, 92H6E radar, ammunition: aircraft destroyed by an explosion at an airfield in Belarus

A T-72 tank, a 92H6E radar and ammunition were possibly destroyed in Belarus at the Ziabrauka airfield, UNIAN reports.

Belaruski Hayun’s monitoring organization has obtained reports that, as a result of yesterday’s explosions at Ziabrauka airfield, several aircraft that were deployed at and next to the army airfield may have been destroyed.

“According to as yet undisclosed reports, a T-72 tank caught fire overnight and detonated ammunition, destroying a dozen rounds of ammunition. This information is displayed because this afternoon around 11:00 a. m. A MAZ of the Armed Forces of Belarus was observed to be moving in the direction of Ziabrauka with a sign indicating “demining,” the organization said in a statement.

In addition, the online magazine Defense Blog, mentioning its intelligence source, reported that a Russian 92N6E illumination and direction radar exploded in Ziabrauka at night.

“In turn, this means that if the data is true, at least one component of the S-400 Triumf air defense missile department that is located at the airfield no longer works because the radar is a component of the SAM complex. As is the radar that detects the target and takes it to track it, that is, to perceive where to fire the missile. In addition, there are also unconfirmed reports that there are casualties as a result of the explosions in Ziabrauka,” the report says.
