Oct 17 (UPI) – In what appears to be a developing regional trend, Sweden’s parliament on Monday elected a new prime minister who enjoys the support of Sweden’s far-right democrats.
“I am humbled by the demanding situations ahead,” Kristersson said, according to Politico’s European office. “We asked for a mandate to replace the recent electoral crusade because we felt it was necessary, and now this replacement is possible. “
Green Party leader Per Bolund said the new one would be “authoritarian, conservative and nationalist,” the BBC reported.
