The world’s largest active sailboat has been spotted crossing Kent.

Götheborg from Sweden sailed the Gravesend Thames as part of an ecu tour.

The ship is a life-size reproduction of the original eighteenth-century ship owned by the Swedish East India Company that sank in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1745.

The Swedish ship Götheborg introduced in 1738 and made three voyages to China before it sank Älvsborg Castle in the open air.

In March 1743 he undertook his third voyage and, after some detours, reached the Chinese coast a year later.

On 12 September 1745, the ship arrived in Vinga, Gothenburg, on its return adventure and sailed to the underwater rocks of Knippla Börö, where it was stranded when the water began to seep in.

Rescue operations were carried out in the following years, but in the early twentieth century, the wreck was abandoned.

Although there were no original designs, Sweden’s Gothenburg was built as it must be so imaginable in eighteenth-century shipping while assembling the existing protection requirements for offshore vessels.

It belongs to Svenska Ostindiska Companiet (SOIC) and sailed off Gravesend on Friday between 4:30 p. m. and 5:00 p. m. Previously, she moored at South Dock Quay in Canary Wharf, London, between 8 and 12 August.

This year, it will sail through Europe and then continue to Asia in 2023 on a two-year expedition for the advertising industry between the two continents.

In September 2023, the shipment will be successful at the final destination of the expedition, Shanghai.
