Two other people were injured in an alleged knife attack in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Sweden.

The incident occurred at the Kvarteret Igor shopping mall in Vasteras, a few kilometers (56 miles) west of the capital, Stockholm.

A user arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder, according to the local force.

“At this time, we suspect there are other perpetrators,” a police spokesman said.

The attacker stabbed the victims with “some kind of sharp object” Tuesday morning, the force added.

The two victims, who were in their 40s and 50s, were taken to hospital after the attack and are being treated for their injuries.

One of them is having life-threatening injuries.
