Do you expect to get tested for the coronavirus after landing on your next flight?
If you live in Canada and plan to return home, this may not be possible.
Canada eliminated the pre-arrival testing requirement in the spring, but air travelers arriving at the country’s 4 largest airports can randomly choose an off-site COVID-19 test.
The random COVID-19 program resumed on Tuesday, July 19 for fully vaccinated travelers arriving in Canada by air to Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal and Toronto.
Testing for all travelers, regardless of vaccination status, will be conducted outdoors at airports, either through an in-person appointment at selected screening sites and pharmacies, or through a virtual appointment for a swab self-check.
