Supporters of the Belarusian demonstration in Lithuania are in favour of COVID-19

Lithuania showed 30 new instances of COVID-19 on Saturday and Sunday, the total number of COVID-19 instances in the country in 2635 and its total death by 83.

At a press conference thursday, Lithuanian Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga said more protection needs will soon be implemented.

The Minister of Health also signed an executive order requiring consumers of food service institutions to wear masks at all times, when eating and drinking.

“Customers ordering food at the checkout will have to keep one meter apart from each other. The space between tables will also have to ensure the distance of two meters between customers,” said Lina Buinskait, advisor to the Minister of Health.

“Several other countries are also implementing such measures to prevent coronavirus. In Lithuania, we are strengthening measures in reaction to an increasing number of infections,” he added.

For example, the Ministry of Health seeks to save you a momentary wave of coronavirus.

At the same time, in the case of the 31st anniversary of the Baltic Route, another 50,000 people are expected to form a human chain from Vilnius on the Belarusian border to express solidarity with protests in the neighbouring country.

Showing solidarity with protests in Belarus is an intelligent idea, but unfortunately, such large-scale action can significantly complicate the epidemiological scenario in Lithuania.

The original Baltic Way was a historic occasion on 23 August 1989, when millions of others formed a human chain from Vilnius to Tallinn via Riga to call for independence from the Soviet Union.
