However, the travel movement at Kuwait International Airport has returned to what it was before the COVID-19 era. “As for summer season flights, 6 million departing and arriving passengers are expected to travel in the era from June 1 to September. In addition, 43,000 flights are expected to operate within months – 22,000 departing flights and 21,000 arrival flights.

All those flights have been scheduled in cooperation with airlines of local, Arab or foreign corporations according to their requests. As for the destinations in Europe that are most in demand, London is the most requested destination, followed by Geneva and Paris. Between the Gulf Dubai and Doha are experiencing strong demand. There is also a high demand from Egypt.

Turkey is also one of the countries that are reserved. All of those countries are well-deserved summer destinations. Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways have opened new routes. Kuwait Airways has opened around 11 new tourist destinations and Jazeera Airways has opened 8 tourist destinations. There is no doubt that the opening of those destinations is only good fortune for our national airlines and a good fortune for the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics. “

Regarding the DGCA’s arrangements for the Hajj season, engineer Al-Otaibi stated that the first Hajj flights will depart at the end of this week to Jeddah Airport. He revealed that there are around 21 flights this season.

Ing. Al-Otaibi said: “This is the first season of Hajj after the COVID-19 pandemic. Approximately 6200 passengers are expected to travel. These flights will be operated through Kuwait Airways, Al-Jazeera Airways and Saudi Airlines. All these flights were organized with Kuwaiti Hajj corporations and in coordination with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior, such as the General Administration of Customs. “We have developed a plan for the Hajj season, which starts this week. “ask Allah Almighty to make it a proper Hajj and a commendable effort for all pilgrims in the State of Kuwait. “

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation said Thursday that departures and arrivals to and from Kuwait International Airport during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, between July 7 and 16, will be about 542,161 passengers. Director General Yousef Al-Fouzan told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the total number of flights in the era will be about 3,484 flights. He explained that the total arrival flights with 285,155 passengers will be successful on 1,737 flights while the departure flights, with 257,006 passengers, will be in total 1,747 flights. Al-Fouzan said the top-sought-after destinations are Cairo, Dubai, Istanbul, Doha and Jeddah. He further claimed that the control was ready for the Eid holiday and summer, praising the cooperation of other government agencies.
