INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Health said 955 other Hoosiers residents had been diagnosed with COVID-19 tests at isDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and personal laboratories. This brings to 83,277 the total number of Indianan citizens known to have the new coronavirus as a result of corrections to the previous day’s board.

A total of 2979 Hoosiers were shown to have died as a result of COVID-19, an accumulation of 11 the previous day. An additional 212 likely deaths in clinical diagnoses were reported in patients for which no positive tests were reported. Deaths are reported when knowledge is obtained through IGH and occurs over several days.

To date, 945,471 singles tests have been reported to the IHSHR, up from 934,033 on Wednesday.

Bartholomew County reported 950 cases on Thursday (nine more) with 49 deaths (unchanged).

The surrounding counties reported:

Jackson County: 642 cases (nine more) with seven deaths (unchanged).

Jennings County: 240 cases (up to two) with 12 deaths (unchanged).

Decatur County: 361 instances (maximum) with 32 deaths (unchanged).

Shelby County: 596 cases (more than seven) with 28 deaths (unchanged).

Johnson County: 1885 instances (up to 13) with 120 deaths (unchanged)

Brown County: 81 cases with two deaths (unchanged).

As of Thursday, more than 34% of intensive care beds and 81% of fans were available statewide.
