State fitness officials will provide updates on COVID-19 to New Mexico schools

SANTA FE – As of Tuesday, September 15, 2020, the Department of Public Education will begin publishing updates on the number of positive COVID-19 cases similar to those of the school in New Mexico. New cases will be reported for the past 24 hours. The first case update marks a week after the start of hybrid learning in some districts.

On September 15, the Department of Public Education announced five new instances of COVID-19, shown on Monday, September 14, 2020, after implementing an immediate reaction and verifying all applicable data with schools and the school district(s). Cases have been reported:

A case at a public school in Chavez County. The inflamed user is a student. The student last inflamed in the construction of the school on Friday, September 11, 2020, all staff and parents and guardians of all students at the affected school were informed of the positive case.

A case at a public school in Bernalillo County. The inflamed user is a member of staff. The individual last inflamed in the construction of the school on August 28, 2020. All staff and parents and guardians of all students at the affected school were informed of the positive case.

A case at a public school in Colfax County. The inflamed user is a student. The student inflamed the last in the construction of the school on September 14, 2020. All staff and parents and guardians of all schoolchildren at the affected school were informed of the positive case.

A case at a public school in Santa Fe County. The staff member last inflamed in the construction of the school on September 4, 2020. All staff and parents and guardians of all students at the affected school were informed of the positive case.

Another case at a public school in Santa Fe County. The individual was not on campus when he contracted COVID-19 and no one around the school potentially exposed.

Affected study rooms and school services will be disinfected conscientiously and any staff member or student who has been in close contact with a newly diagnosed user will be quarantined for 14 days. “Close Contact” means being less than six feet away for 3 minutes or more Staff who were in close contact will need to be examined to detect COVID-19 and provide the school with the effects of the check before returning to user service.

The DEP has been gathering knowledge since 17 August 2020; in the future, cumulative monkeys will come with that knowledge, and the total number of cases in school populations is lately 108.
